Minecraft Buildcon, an unofficial Minecraft event, kicked of today. If you haven’t heard of it before, it’s an annual community get together for Minecraft builders, creators, developers and modders. The organizers sum up the event in the following way:
Buildcon is one of, if not the best opportunity, to get your name out there as a builder, developer within the game or simply someone interested in the creative links to the game! At no other time or place will so many people interested in the creative aspects of minecraft come together in one place to view what everyone can do. You can use Buildcon to show everyone your skills, meet new people and make new friends!
What takes place at Minecraft Buildcon?
There are various types of events at Buildcon. According to the event FAQ, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in battles, contests and master classes. The conference aims to provide valuable opportunities for creative-minded Minecrafters of all levels.
Participate in Buildcon from anywhere in the world
One of the central events during the conference is a community build project. It takes place on a public server meaning that anyone, anywhere can join in on the fun at Buildcon. This year players will be building on some beautiful terrain provided by killerack.
The Buildcon 2017 Server
If you want to play along from home, check the Buildcon Twitter feed. It will be used to not only announce the server IP and login information but to also keep remote participants up-to-date. Prior the even the following tweet was shared with three IPs:
