How to make scaffolding in Minecraft

Time needed: 1 minute.

Scaffolding is crafted with a crafting table from 6 bamboo and 1 string. The crafting process creates 9 scaffolding for each set of ingredients used.

1. Open the crafting menu

   With 6 bamboo and 1 string in your inventory, open the crafting menu. You will be presented with the 3×3 crafting grid.
   
   
   

2. Arrange the items on the crafting grid

   To make scaffolding, arrange the bamboo and string on the crafting grid. Each item must be placed in the position seen in the scaffolding recipe below. When complete, the scaffolding will appear to the right of the 3×3 crafting grid.
   
   
   
   The crafting recipe for scaffolding is 6 bamboo and 1 string arranged in the following pattern:
   Row 1: bamboo, string, bamboo
   Row 2: bamboo, empty, bamboo
   Row 3: bamboo, empty, bamboo
   

3. Place the completed scaffolding in your player inventory

   Select the scaffolding and move it into your player inventory.
